Ltd. Diamedica developed DiaLab^® is on client-server architecture-based laboratory information system and is intended for medical laboratory circulation of information gathering, systematization and storage.

The system is designed in accordance with EN ISO 15189 standard "Medical laboratories - Particular requirements for quality and competence".

DiaLab^® accumulates the following information:

• • The patient and his identification, residence address, diagnosis, information specific to the patient to assist in interpretation of the results, etc.;
  • Examination requester, date and time of  the request  for exam,  date and time of the registration of the request  and the Registrar;
  • Test results and the respective reference values, test execution date and time and the executor, the results of the validation date and time and the validator;
  • Registered identifiers of  the specimen;
  • Material sampling date and time, material and laboratory specialist comments on the material (anatomical place of origin, material, quality, etc.) , recording date and time and the Registrar;
  • Examinations manipulation codes and their numbers;
  • Other important information, such as test objectives, CITO tests,  etc.;
  • Quality control results.

In addition to the information stored in the database and other information, such as national laboratory reimbursement rates, institution paid service tariffs and the insurance companies’ rates chronologically etc. With this information a laboratory will always be able to not only provide information on the individual patient's history and dynamics of the examination results, but also review their work over a long period of time quickly and easily and provide financial reports or bills to insurance companies.

The program consists of five blocks or modules:

• Examination request and materials recording,
• Entering test results and validation.
• Examination reports printing.
• Quality control,
• Reports.

Each of these blocks is responsible for computerization of certain part of medical laboratory daily routine; it is the replacement of manual records with a similar amount of information into the prepared electronic forms. Most of these electronic forms contain the prearranged classifiers and lists. This greatly speeds up the search for information input and provides its classification.

Connection of laboratory equipment 

The system provides all laboratory analyzers connection, regardless of whether they are working at a one-way or two-way data exchange principle.

DiaLab^® is complemented by SIA Diamedica developed differential leucocyte counter, which can be used not only to count and record WBC into the database, but also enter the formula qualitative description (leukocytosis, poikilocytosis,  etc). Microscopic observation counters are under construction as well.
